Are you suffering from painful cramping, heavy flow, irregular cycles, or maybe no cycle at all? Period problems are a common part of many women's reproductive lives, but they don't have to be.
Why is period health important?
Periods are not just important for fertility and having babies, regular ovulation and menstruation confers a huge number of benefits to your overall health. Ovulating regularly means that your body is making sufficient amounts of two important hormones: estradiol and progesterone. These hormones improve mood, metabolism, hair and bone health.
What is my period trying to tell me?
Your period is your monthly report card - it reflects your overall health and vitality each month. When your period is not normal (painful, heavy, irregular, missing, causing PMS symptoms or acne), your body is trying to tell you something. It could be under-eating, nutrient deficiencies, poorly managed stress, insulin resistance, dietary imbalances, a thyroid condition or inflammation.
How can Clinical Nutrition help my period?
Clinical nutrition works with you to find the root cause of your hormonal imbalances, rather than prescribing a treatment to mask its symptoms.
We can work together to re-establish your baseline for health and in doing so, restore regular, pain-free periods that you actually welcome each month as a time of rest and reflection. Let's get your periods back on track: book an appointment today.
