Watch the explainer video below! So healthy you'd eat it for breakfast :D
About This Recipe
If you’ve been following my blog for a while, you will be aware of my obsession with beans.
Beans might just be the single most important food you can add into your diet.
Don’t believe me? Take a look at this research that shows consumption of beans was the strongest predictor of life expectancy in older people of all ethnicities, or this one that shows that beans tend to have a ‘second meal’ effect (i.e. keep us fuller for longer and help balance blood sugar levels).

Almost everyone can benefit from introducing or increasing consumption of beans every day. I aim to get 2-3 servings of beans a day (not as scary as it sounds - a serve is 1/2 cup cooked).
Generally, lunch and dinner are simple to add in some hummus to a sandwich, black beans on a wrap or lentils in a curry.
But unless you also eat savoury for breakfast or dessert, you'd have to count those meals out for potential 'beaning up" right?

Wrong! This 3 Ingredient Black Bean Chocolate Mousse recipe takes 3 minutes to throw together, is rich and decadent tasting and best of all, tastes nothing like beans - winning!
A simple combination of frozen bananas, black beans and cacao, you won’t find anything remotely unhealthy in this mousse which is why it has become my go-to breakfast the past few days.
With beans in my breakfast meal I'm already half way to reaching my daily bean goals (wow I'm a nutrition nerd).
So long as you use over-ripe bananas, there is no need for a sweetener in this chocolate mousse recipe.
I love topping my Chocolate Black Bean Mousse with fresh berries and extra cacao to make it taste like a real treat.

YOU'RE GOING TO LOVE THIS BLACK BEAN CHOCOLATE MOUSSE RECIPE BECAUSE IT'S:
